THE FLICKERING, FADING LIGHT OF DAY AT THE HUMMINGBIRD MIGRATION REVIEW OF 9 17 J
In the flickering, fading light of day, sometimes I catch the angle of the sun just right and it lights up the wings on the hummers! If I catch it in one special way, I see the rainbow wing effect as you will see in some of the photo lineup of 9 17J. It is difficult to snap these effects when the birds are moving so fast, so I just point and shoot fast! The only times this can occur (in a natural setting) is early in the morning or late in the evening. There is little reference to the 'light wings', so most people do not catch it. Check it out! Enjoy!!
