LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE BIRDS AND BEES AT THE HUMMINGBIRD REVIEW OF 9 18 E
Today's post of 9 18E Highlights reflects continued interaction with the hummingbirds and honey bees. Some of the new bird arrivals act as if they have not been around bees before. They seem fascinated by watching them. The birds usually sustain one sting from a bee during there time here, which suggest the birds learn fast! I have never seen multiple stings on birds, nor have I seen any organized bee attacks against the birds resulting in stung to death.
Mostly, I see cooperation and sharing of the food source. I have seen a bird feed a bee by dropping nectar on the feeder in front of her. We have so much yet to learn. Enjoy!
