Hi Everybody!!
One thing you will notice as you begin watching birds is that they all seem to have fun! Whether you drive out to see birds or set up a feeding station to have them in your yard, you will likely not observe too much at first. In time, as your eyes learn to see, you will notice more about bird behavior. I have never seen a grouchy or lazy bird. I have seen a lonesome dove after the loss of his mate. And yes, there are thieving birds and squirrels. I have observed a Barbie Doll in a pink dress going up a tree in a squirrels mouth and a big crow stealing a key ring with one key. By far, the bird behavior I observe the most is Fun. They really like to play! Of course, air racing is fun for the young birds. Today's photos below show birds relaxed around one human and 2 dogs; fat, well rounded bellies with abundance of food and some of my friends can see them smiling! Enjoy!
