Hi Everybody!!
If you are interested in seeing the hummingbirds, there are many places open to the public where Birders can view many birds gathering as they do here. You can turn to Google for places in the State you want to visit. In Texas, you can check with Texas Parks and Wildlife. Do not expect these birds will interact with you as they are more likely to ignore you and go about their business of eating. I do have a few birds that fly up to me head high and hover in front of me looking straight in my eyes! If I hold a feeder in my hands, they will come up. Fortunately, the birds have mostly good experiences with loving humans and seem less afraid than years ago. If you really get into birding, you could just move to Texas and have your own backyard birds. (We have plenty of room down here!) Enjoy!
