Hi Everybody!!
Life really is sweet around here during the 'hummertime'! The nectar in the feeders is made from white sugar and boiling water (4 to 1 ratio). The bees also have 2 turkey platters of sugared water on the ground (they will drown in bowls). Some days I go out to the arena to discover the feeders thrown on the ground and empty, as if someone had a drunken brawl and feeder throwing fight. This is the work of Rocky, the raccoon, who loves to binge on nectar at night! And finally, I am the sweetest, sugar coated old lady in the county from all the nectar accidents I've encountered when hanging a feeder that opens, dumping sugared water all over my hair and face! Enjoy!
