EVEN THE BUZZARDS COME TO WATCH THE HUMMINGBIRDS AT THE HIGHLIGHTS REVIEW OF 9 30
Yes, it is strange to see the buzzards positioned on the best branch to watch the hummingbirds! They always sit on branches, but there are many branches they could choose. Yet, over and over, they choose a branch that overlooks the hummingbird feeding arena, as you will see below on today's post of 9 30. The buzzards/vultures do not hunt or eat hummingbirds, so I assume they just like to watch all the commotion! The only animals around here that hunt the tiny birds are feral cats. The grounds are fenced to keep any cats out. Wild cats are a big problem for all the migrating birds. At Kates Cabin, the hummers enjoy safe sanctuary and plenty of food. Enjoy!
