CHECKING IN ON CASSIDY-THE ONE LEGGED BUZZARD
Yes, Cassidy is still here and growing up. Against all odds, she prevails. As she became stronger on the ground, her Mom had other ideas for her. Cassidy will learn to sit in dead trees as buzzards do. In today's pics you will see a couple of early attempts to land and balance on a branch. She did fall out of the tree a few times, but she flew back up. Now, buzzards do not have a voice box so they make noises like a cat hissing. Cassidy gets so mad having to balance in the tree, I can hear her loud hissing and flapping her wings as if cussing out her Mom! A few other birds now visit Cassidy and her Mom in the tree. What do they do? They sit like statues in dead trees because that is what buzzards do! Enjoy!
