Hi Everybody!!
Well, look who showed up today! He has been here about 3 weeks, but is still very shy around me. You will notice in 3 of the shots, another bird, who is the mean mockingbird. He chases the hawk away. I do not know what kind of hawk this one is. He has the markings similar to red shouldered hawk, but I have never seen one with so much white on the head and chest. If anyone knows what kind of hawk this is, please leave a comment. Also shared below, is a red flowering quince with a hover fly pollinating the flower. We will have at least one quince! On this last day of February, my gardens are poised and ready for a beautiful Spring!
Enjoy!
