Hi Everybody!!
Guess who I spied a couple of days ago? Yes, you are correct, the Red-bellied Woodpecker! He lives here year round with his mate, but now he is engaging in a new activity. A site has been selected for the new nest and he is carving out the cavity in the tree. Spring is sneaking into my place. The bush honeysuckle is blooming and calling in the honeybees. It is still cold here around 32, but suppose to warm up 40 degrees tomorrow. Signs of Spring are everwhere. (The hummingbirds return next post) Enjoy!
