SPRING MIGRATION BIRDS ARRIVE AT KATES CABIN BIRD SANCTUARY

Hi Everybody!!
I glanced up in the tree and all of a sudden, a strange orange bird was there! It is the spring migration and the birds are crossing Texas on their way back up north. The bright orange bird is a Baltimore Oriole. He was here for 2 days for food and rest, then he was gone. My location is under a major flyway, so on different years I see a variety of the colorful songbirds of North America. New for me this spring, some hummingbirds have returned. I do not know if they will stay or move on. The kite will stay for the summer. The photos below are migrants, except the one red cardinal. I believe the migrants come down if they see (or hear) the cardinals. Enjoy!!
