THE WINTER HUMMER AND THE NEW YEAR'S PARTY ARE BOTH HERE!
Hi Everybody!!
In the cloudy, cold Arctic air, I caught the winter hummer today to celebrate the end of December 2014! I had to sneak up on the little sucker, after I spied him in the pear tree. It is much more difficult to catch one bird when the hundreds are gone. Below is shared the last of the December Days, the last of the colored leaves and the last sunny day. For your Happy New Year Party, I invited a few of my friends over: The Turkey Buzzards! Yes, the Party is Here!

THE LAST DAY OF THE YEAR AND HUMMINGBIRD HIGHLIGHTS REVIEW OF 9 19 F
Hi Everybody!!
The last day of the year has finally arrived escorted by a chilling North Wind. Temps in my garden will not rise above the 40s today! My goodness, why do so many people live in cold like this all winter? *BRRRRRRR* I really understand why the birds leave the north and migrate to warmer climates in the south! The hummingbirds came in from the north in August. Most left here on 9 22 for Mexico. The rest left by 10 22. One hummingbird came in November and is still here. Kates Cabin was his choice for southern retreat! He will have warmed nectar today! Enjoy!
