SEPTEMBER 7B HIGHLIGHTS OF THE HUMMINGBIRD MIGRATION

Hi Everybody!!
Today's review of September 7 photos of the Ruby-Throated Hummingbird Migration reflect both the bees and hummers feed at the feeders together. You might think the birds get stung all the time, but they do not! Most get stung once and then not again. (They learn fast). The bees do sneak attack the birds, yet the birds can gang up on the bees and blow them off the feeders with their wings and whistles. They seem to work it out among themselves. Some birds feed the bees drops of nectar on the feeder edge. At times if there are too many bees, I just squirt them with the water hose and they go away for awhile. There is never a dull moment when the birds and bees are here! Enjoy!

THE HUMMINGBIRD MIGRATION REVIEW OF SEPTEMBER 7 ON THE BIRDSHOWER!

Hi Everybody!!
Today we are looking at September 7 photo highlights. So far, everything about the migration has gone very well. All birds are doing great (as you will notice they are rounding out)! I added the new homemade bird shower this year. Turns out the hummers are using it as a perch. Now this was originally a rack for cowboy hats. I found it next to a dumpster at the hardware store. I asked if I could have it and it was okay. A friend ran a hose up the center tube and attached a shower head.  I turn it on and birds come from all over for a dip or a perch under the water! Elvis has claimed it! Enjoy!

HA HA! HAVING FUN TODAY-THE HAPPY HUMMINGBIRD MIGRATION HIGHLIGHTS-SEPTEMBER 6E

Hi Everybody!!
September 6 afternoon ended on a happy note! Now, I do not hear anyone talking about happy hummingbirds, but to me they look and act happy. You decide as you scroll through the photos today. I sit in the same place everyday of this Migration Review. This group of birds stay here at night in the trees. This is not a fancy place, just a picnic table in my front yard with feeders hanging everywhere! By sharing the highlights of everyday, we all have an opportunity to view the behavior of the birds. I know most people are not interested in hummingbirds, so I thank all of my friends who visit this Blog for your comments and plus ones. Let me know if you think birds can be happy! Enjoy!
